New York Red Bulls to Host Arsenal FC on July 26 at Red Bull Arena
I'm sure many Arsenal fans
are rejoicing at the news of the Gunners coming to Red Bull Arena
this summer for a friendly match against former Arsenal's legend
Thierry Henry's side, the New York Red Bulls. Henry will once again
reunite with his former side where he scored a record 226 goals
during his time there which started from 1999-2007, and on loan in
the winter of 2012, leading the club's all time record of 228 goals.
The 2013 Supporters' Shield
winners announced that they will face the English side on Saturday,
July 26, 2014 at the Red Bull Arena, kick off time for the match is
at 5.00 pm.
Arsenal also announced that
they will not be playing any additional games while in the United States. The Gunners visited the U.S for the
first time in 1989 for an exhibition match with Independiente of
Argentina in Miami, Florida.
The upcoming friendly will be the
Gunners second encounter with the Red Bulls in 3 years, both sides
played out a 1-1 draw at the 2011 Emirates Cup.
