Valencia FC midfielder Seydou Keita nets the fastest goal in La Liga history

The former Barcelona CF player Seydou Keita set La Liga record with his  7.6 seconds goal-the Malian international showed his talent in Valencia's clash with Almeria as he skipped forward and netted the fastest goal in the Spanish football history. Just before most people got settled in their seats, Keita latched onto a misplaced backpass, raced towards goal, clipping the ball into the back of the net all within the very first minute of the game. #amazingtalent

Although Valencia ended up in a 2-2 draw, Keita's performance has made history and his record is unlikely to be beaten for now. La Liga officials have confirmed the record set by the 34-year-old player but initial timings show it barely beat the former record which was held by Vallodolid's Joseba Llorente who scored in 7.82 seconds against Espanyol in 2008.
