Ahead of the third FA Women's Super League season, Chelsea Ladies announced the signing of Eniola Aluko. The 25-year-old was first signed to Chelsea Ladies in the 2007/2008 season but left in October 2008 for St Louis Athletic in the US, she later joined Atlanta Beat in 2010 after St Louis  Athletica folded path way in 2010, in the same year, Aluko again moved, this time to Sky Blue FC in December. The Nigerian-born striker returned to the British Isles last season to represent Birmingham  City in the FA WSL.
