CAF reveals the 5-man shortlist for the 2014 African Player of the year

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the top five (5) players for the 2014 African player of the year award and the 2014 African player of the year (African based) on Monday, 1, December. Nigeria's Ahmed Musa and goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama made the shortlist
Players were shortlisted from a list of other nominees for the top five (5) for the ultimate winner of the player of the year (Based in Africa) category.


Here is a list for the African Player of the Year (in alphabetical order)

1.Ahmed Musa (Nigeria, CSKA Moscow)
2. Asamoah Gyan (Ghana, Al Ain)
3. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon, Borussia Dortmund)
4. Vincent Enyeama (Nigeria, Lile)
5. Yaya Toure (Cote d'Ivoire, Manchester City)

African player of the year-Based in Africa (in alphabetical order)
1. Akram Djahnt (Algeria, E.S Setif)
2. El Hedi Belamieri (Algeria, E.S. Setif)
3. Fakhreddine Ben Youssef (Tunisia, C.S. Sfaxien)
4. Firmin Mubele Nbombe (D.R Congo, AS Vita)

5. Senzo Robert Meyiwa (South Africa, Orlando Pirates)
