Ivory Coast release final 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup


Ivory Coast head coach Sabri Lamouchi has released the final 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup.

Brothers Yaya and Kolo Toure made the list, Kolo was named in the squad despite being diagnosed with malaria last week, Ivorian number 1 striker Didier Drogba was also named in the list. The Toure's along with Drogba, Gervinho, and Kalou all made the final full list of players that was named at the Ivory Coast trainnig camp in the United States on Sunday.

CSKA Moscow forward Seydow Doumbia and France based defenders Brice Dja Djedje and Benjamin Angoua unfortunately did not make the list.

Ivory coast will take on Greece, Colombia, and Japan in their Group C. in the World Cup.

Goalkeepers: Boubacar Barry (Lokeren), Sylvain Gbohouo (Sewe Sport), Sayouba Sande (Stabaek).

Defenders: Kolo Toure (Liverpool), Sol Bamba (Trabzonspor), Didier Zokora (Trabzonspor), Serge Aurier (Toulouse), Arthur Boka (Stuttgart), Ousmane Viera Diarrassouba (Caykur Rizespor), Constant Djakpa (Frankfurt), Jean-Daniel Akpa-Akpro (Toulouse).

Midfielders: Yaya Toure (Manchester City), Cheik Tiote (Newcastle), Serey Die (Basel), Max Gradel (Saint Etienne), Diomande Ismael (Saint Etienne), Didier Ya Konan (Hannover), Mathis Bolly (Dusseldorf).

Forwards:Gervinho (Roma), Didier Drogba (Galatasaray), Salomon Kalou (Lille), Wilfried Bony (Swansea), Giovanni Sio (Basel).
