Bright Dike undergoes a successful surgery

Some good news on Super Eagles striker Bright Dike. The 27-year-old Nigerian international has undergone a successful operation for his torn Achilles tendon. However, it is still unclear if Dike will recover in time to represent Nigeria in the World Cup coming up in Brazil from June 12th to July 13th.
Dike was called up by Super Eagles head coach Stephen Keshi for an international friendly coming up on March 5th against Mexico in the USA shortly before he suffered an Achilles tendon injury while in training with his side, Toronto FC during their pre-season training for the new Major League Campaign.
The expected World Cup debutant announced the update on his injury via twitter on Thursday and also thanked his colleagues and fans for the support
Dike tweeted. Surgery went well, I'm blessed to receive so many kind words. I thank God for the people around me. Now I’m passing out for at least 10 hours.
