Transfer News: Chelsea’s Victor Moses set to leave on season-long loan to Liverpool

Liverpool and Chelsea have finally agreed on a £1m transfer fee for the season-long transfer of Nigerian international Victor Moses. Liverpool is set to complete all necessary formalities of the loan deal for the 23-year-old player before the transfer window closes.

With new signings Andre Schürrle, William, and Kevin De Bruyne, Moses who was signed by the Stamford Bridge club just last summer for £9m slipped further down the pecking order in the club. Moses was permitted to seek first-team football elsewhere following how it seems the Blues have managed to carefully collect capable hands for the season. The 23-year-old Nigerian international joined Wigan from Crystal Palace on a 3-and-a-half year deal in 2010 for a reported £2.5m. Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Moses has made 23 Premier League appearances and showcased his goal-scoring abilities during the Blues very successful Europa League campaign.

For now, there is no option for Liverpool to make the deal permanent next summer, an indication that Moses will most likely have a long-term future at Stamford Bridge.
