Chelsea FC releases 8 players from the squad including Florent Malouda.

Jose Mourinho means business, so in his aim to revive the team,  Chelsea FC confirmed that eight players have been released from their squad

The players who will be leaving Stamford Bridge include: Henrique Hilario, Ross Turnbull, Paulo Ferreira, Florent Malouda and Yossi Benayoun. Also leaving are young trio Amin Affane, Archange Nkumu and Aziz Deen-Conteh, after failing to meet the required standards at youth and reserve level.

With the release of goalkeepers Ross Turnbull and Henrique, the Blues now have only 1 goalkeeper, Czech player Petr Cech.

Malouda’s release is no shocker as the 32-year-old French man has been playing with the reserves all year. In his prime, Malouda was outstanding in the 2009/2010 season and contributed to their Premier league win that year.
Good luck guys.
