Micheal Essien is confident that Real Madrid will beat Galatasaray.

Michael Essien says he is confident Real Madrid has the quality to see off Galatasaray in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.goal.com

Essien who currently plays for Real Madrid on loan from Chelsea is almost certain that Madrid will beat Galatasaray, the Ghanaian international is keeping his eye on the price-Winning the Champions league this year.
"We have been playing well recently, and more importantly scoring goals, and we hope to keep it that way against Galatasaray," Essien said to The Sport Review.
"The squad is always ready for the big games and this is no different.

Essien who will be playing against former club mate Didier Drogba who made his move to the Turkish side early this year is quite aware of the capabilities of the very talented Ivorian, Drogba; however, the 30-year-old Black Stars of Ghana midfielder is confident that his side will come out the better.

"They are an experienced side with Champions League winners in their side so they will pose problems, but as long as we stick to our game-plan, I am confident we can go through."

Madrid last won the Champions League in 2001-02 when it beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-1.
