Real Madrid touch down in Manchester after defeating Barcelona again

Real Madrid won 2-1 over Barcelona in Saturday’s Spanish League match, but Madrid still trails leader Barcelona by 13 points.

An 82nd-minute goal from Sergio Ramos handed  Real Madrid their 2nd  consecutive victory over Barcelona in five days, first in the Copa del Rey and then in the league on Saturday. Saturday’s win gave Madrid its first home league victory over Barcelona since 2008, the game grew testy toward the end as Barca’s goalkeeper Victor Valdes was eventually sent off for protesting.

Madrid’s  recent victory will do very little to prevent their fierce rival (Barcelona FC) from reclaiming the Spanish league title but it should boost the team ahead of their critical Champions League clash with Manchester United.

Former Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of the Blancos of Real Madrid landed in Manchester on Sunday night ahead of their very crucial Champions League second-leg tie with United.
This will be the first time Ronaldo will play at Old Trafford since his £80 million record-breaking move to Madrid in 2009.
