Barcelona is No Longer The BEST Club In The World; Chelsea Takes The Lead In This Year’s IFFHS Ranking.

Chelsea FC grabs the No.1 spot away from Barcelona in the International Federation of Football History & Statistics ranking.
After their recent misfortune-losing to AC Milan in the Champions League and to Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey and La Liga –the Catalan club has lost its lead at the top of the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) Club World Ranking to Chelsea. Following behind in second place is Atlético de Madrid while Bayern München grabs the 3rd position.

This is year’s ranking is definitely a shocker as Barça has dropped down to fifth place, the team has also been overtaken by Bayern Munich (Bundesliga leaders) and Corinthians (FIFA Club World Cup champions).

Although Manchester United top the Premier League table and the Blues sit fourth in the table, there is no place for Man-U in the top 10, instead, the Red Devils were ranked at no.19 in the IFFHS ranking moving 5 spots ahead from last year's position. Arch rivals Real Madrid however did make the top 10 in this year’s occupying the 7th position in the World ranking.

It’s no surprise that Arsenal FC occupied the 50th spot in the ranking, it is however surprising to see Manchester City 6 spots behind them at no.56 in the ranking.

Here is the Top 10 in the IFFHS Club World Ranking:
1. Chelsea (ENG) 307 Points
2. Atlético de Madrid (SPA) 304
3. Bayern Múnich (GER) 292
4. Corinthians (BRA) 287
5. Barcelona (SPA) 283
6. Boca Juniors (ARG) 281
7. Real Madrid (SPA) 277
8. Juventus (ITA) 241
9. Inter Milán (ITA) 234
10. Sao Paulo (BRA) 230
