Super Eagles dominate the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations best XI squad

Nigeria’s goalkeeper was named the No. 1 player in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations best XI squad. Aside from Enyeama, four other Nigerian players were also listed in the squad while the likes of Ivorian legend Didier Drogba and even the African player of year Yaya Tour were left out (had to brag about it, yep!)

All in all, Champions Super Eagles dominated the list with five players including Chelsea stars Mikel Obi and Victor Moses, goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama , Efe Ambrose and Emmanuel Emenike who was joint top scorer with Mubarak Waso with four goals. 

Ghana’s captain Asamoah Gyan was also named in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations best XI squad. Although Gyan scored only 1 goal in six matches he was strong in assists in for the Black Stars.

Burkina Faso's Jonathan Pitroipa who was named the MVP of the 2013 Nations Cup and central defender Bakary Kone were also named in the list. The other players on the list include Cape Verde's  Captain Fernando Neves, Mali's  Captain Seydou Keita and Siaka Tiene from Ivory Coast.
