FA Cup third-round draw-it’s Showtime this Saturday


The ties will take place between 5-7 January 2013:
*Brighton & Hove Albion v Newcastle United, Newcastle won the FA Cup back in 2006 since then; Alan Pardew’s team lost a total of 9 of their 11 premier league matches. Brightons side will be taking on Newcastle at the Amex Stadium later today.
* Aldershot Town v Rotherham United- Aldershot have not reached the fourth round of the FA Cup since 1987 when they lost to Barnsley, they will be taking on Rotherham United by about 3pm Saturday at Recreation Ground.
* Aston Villa v Ipswich Town’s face off is at 3 pm today and the game will be held at Vila Park. Ipswich won the FA Cup 25 years ago.
* Barnsley v Burnley, this game is coming up at 3pm.
* Blackburn Rovers v Bristol City, the second ever FA Cup match between these sides will be held at 3 p.m today – the first came at this stage in 1951.
* Bolton Wanderers will take on Sunderland today at the Reebok stadium, time of the match is also 3 pm.
* Charlton Athletic v Huddersfield Town, these two sides met early this season on November 24TH and they each left with a goal making it a 1-1 draw at The Valley. They meet again today at The Valley stadium by 3 p.m
* Crawley Town v Reading, this game will be at the Broadfield stadium by 3 p.m. Crawley has successively  reached the fifth round of the competition the past two years.
* Crystal Palace v Stoke City starts by 3 p.m today at the Selhurst Park.
* Derby County v Tranmere Rovers by 3pm today at the Pride Park stadium
* Fulham v Blackpool, Blackpool have progressed beyond the third round just twice in their past 13 appearances at this stage, today’s  game will take place at Craven Cottage, it starts at 3pm
* Hull City v Leyton Orient, the match will kick off by 3pm at KC stadium. Hull won five and lost none of their past six FA Cup ties against lower league opposition
* Leeds United v Birmingham City, Birmingham heads on out to Ellan Road today, game time is at 3pm. The hosts (Leeds) have since undergone a change of ownership and go into this game, which could be their 100th victory in the FA Cup, having won their last two league matches.
* Leicester City v Burton Albion-3 pm today at King Power Stadium
* Luton Town v Wolverhampton Wanderers –starts at 3 pm today, the game will be held at Kenilworth Road
* Macclesfield Town v Cardiff City, 3 pm today at the Moss Rose stadium
* Manchester City v Watford-with the recent incident between City manager Mancini and Mario Balotelli, this game is one to watch, Balotelli however is set to play in the game. The game starts by 3 pm today at the Etihad stadium.
* Middlesbrough v Hastings United, 3 pm today at Riverside Stadium
* Millwall v Preston North End, 3 pm today at The Den
* Nottingham Forest v Oldham Athletic, the match kicks off by 3 pm at City Ground
* Oxford United v Sheff United, 3 pm today at Kassam stadium
* Peterborough United v Norwich City, Norwich has managed to keep just one clean sheet in their past 18 encounters in the FA Cup. The game starts at 3 pm today and it will be held at London Road.
* Queens Park Rangers v West Bromwich, QPR are without a win in their past 13 matches in the third round of the FA Cup, their game kicks off at 3 pm today at Loftus Road.
* Sheffield Wednesday v Milton Keynes Don, 3 PM today at Hillsborough
* Southampton v Chelsea, Victor Moses and Mikel John Obi will most likely feature in today’s game before they head off to the Africa Cup of Nations. Also, Demba Ba will possibly make his debut appearance after completing his transfer from Newcastle. Southampton won their four previous FA Cup meetings with Chelsea, three of them after a replay, today’s fixture will be at St Mary stadium and it starts at 3 pm
* Tottenham Hotspur v Coventry City, 3 pm today at the White Hart Lane
*Wigan Athletic v AFC Bournemouth, Wigan's new signings Roger Espinoza and Angelo Henríquez are both expected to make their debuts against a Bournemouth side that are unbeaten in 16 games since Eddie Howe returned as manager in October. The match kicks off by 3 pm at DW Stadium
* West Ham United v Manchester United, West Ham will host Manchester United at Upton Park in east London later this evening at 5.15 pm. These two sides last FA Cup meeting was in 2003, Manchester United won 6-0 Old Trafford.
* Swansea City v Arsenal, 1.30 pm on Sunday 6, January at Liberty Stadium, Swansea will be hosting Arsenal today as they hope to regain their position. Swansea won just three times out of the last 19 FA Cup ties with teams from the same division.
* Mansfield Town v Liverpool, this will be the second time these two sides have been drawn together in any competition, their second meeting starts by 4 pm on Sunday 6, January at Field Mill
* Cheltenham Town v Everton, this will be the second time Everton will go out to a side from the fourth tier or lower since 1912. Today’s game starts at 7.45 pm on Monday 7, January at the Whaddon Road stadium.
