Demba Ba will be taking on his former team Newcastle United
for the first time since completing his move to Chelsea last month. The Blues
will be travelling to St. James' Park this Saturday with a familiar face as they plan on
completing a firrst double over the Toon Army since the 2007/2008 season.
The Toons have been busy all through the January transfer
window period trying to recover from losing their lead scorer Demba Ba to
Chelsea, in this attempt; they have brought in the likes of Moussa Sissoko from
Toulouse FC, striker Yoan Gouffran and French footballer Mathieu Debuchy from Lille
to help boost the team and remove relegation scraps.
Both teams are in need of a win, the Blues are looking to
comeback from their mid-week collapse away to Reading but they will be facing a
more re-energized Newcastle side following how they picked up a moral boosting 3
points at Villa Park on Tuesday where they won 2-1 against Aston Vila.
