Super Eagles head Coach Steven Keshi picks Ejide as Captain for the friendly against Venezuela this evening in Miami.



Steven Keshi has picked Israel-based player Austin Ejide as captain of the Nigerian Super Eagles for the friendly against Venezuela which is coming up this evening.  Ejide first joined the National team in 2002 from Gabros of Nnewi, and he currently plays for Israeli Premier side Hapoel Be'er Sheva.

Joining the team for the first time is New Castle United player Shola Ameobi. At a dinner on Monday night, Amoebi spoke about being part of the team for the first time- "it's good to be here and I will learn to speak Pidgin English as the players have directed" he joked as teammate Obafemi Martin challenged him to learn to speak Pidgin English  what is now known as the official language in camp.
Also,Bright Dike who plays for Portland Timbers, MLS side in the US will be joining the team and is as well delighted and honored to be part of the Nigerian national soccer team.
