Following last Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United, Liverpool's captain Gerrad urges fans to stay calm. Although Liverpool controlled posession of the ball in the first-half of the game, there were other controversies one of which is the dismissal of Jonjo Shelvy. However, in the second-half of the game, goals from Manchester's Robin Van Persie and Rafael lead to Liverpool eventually losing the game.
For Gerrard, winning this game would have had special significance as this was the first home game for Brendhand Rodger's side since the publication of the Hillsborough report which cleared all fan of any wrong-doing when 96 innocent people lost their lives. Gerrard lost his 10-year-old cousin, Jon-Paul Gilhooley who was the youngest person to lose their life in the disaster.
