With 5 wins, and a draw from their first 6 games Chelsea
maintains their position atop the Premier League table. In the first half of the game against the Gunners at Emirates
stadium, Fernando Torres scores the first goal for Blues through a
free kick; this will be his third league goal of the season. 22 minutes in the
game, Torres, again almost doubles the lead as he planted another ball in the
net, only this time, the linesman flagged for offside. However, 42 minutes into
the first half, Arsenal striker Gervinho evens out the score just before
half-time. Just at the start of the second half, a free-kick from Juan Mata won
the game for Chelsea.
Chelsea’s captain, John Terry who played for the first time
after this week’s FA guilty verdict had to endure boos and taunts from Arsenal fans,
but with a 2-1 victory, Terry had the last laugh.
