With the help of former Arizona State standout and NBA veteran Ike Diogu who has contributed immensely to the team's performance in the last year including this year's FIBA qualifying tournament which featured upset wins over Lithuania, Greece and including the win over the Dominican Republic where Diogu had a total of 25-points and 10-rebounds all of which gave the Nigerian team a ticket to the Olympic for the first time. Diogu’s dedication continues to shine as on Sunday,  for the first time ever, the D’Tigers (Nigerian team) in a game against Tunisia, won their first Olympic game finishing at 60-56. Diogu finished with 13-point, 10 rebounds and former Georgia Tech Star, Alade Aminu led with 15 point and 9 rebounds.
