Former Chelsea boss, Avram Grant is Ghana's head coach

Former Chelsea boss, Avram Grant has been appointed as the new head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana. The Isreali coach signed a 27-month contract taking over from Maxwell Konandu whose been in charge temporarily after Kwesi Appiah was fired in September following their disastrous World Cup campaign earlier this year in Brazil.

The Ghana FA announced his appointment in a statement released- “The Ghana Football Association have announced the appointment of Avram Grant as Black Stars coach. Grant's contract takes effect on December 1st, 2014 after he agreed to a two-year deal to become the head coach”

The 59-year-old coach will face his face major challenge at the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea in January next year. Grant has six weeks in total to prep the Black stars.
