Ghana's Sulley Muntari hands out cash to disadvantaged locals near training camp

Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari being a good example in Brazil as he decided to share his wealth with some of the disadvantaged locals I Brazil. Two days before Saturday's 2-2 draw against Germany, Muntari got special permission from Ghana's Coach Kwesi Appiah to go into nearby neighborhood of Trapiche where the Ghanaian team are staying, the 29-year-old midfielder started handing out money to disadvantaged locals. One report said he was handing out as much as R$350 (Brazilian reals) which is the equivalent of $160 to each person he came across.
The local police eventually asked him to stop.

Confused, why would they stop him from giving out cash?
