Tranfer news: Elderson Echiejile completes move to Monaco from Sporting Braga

Super Eagles defender Elderson
Echiejile has joined top French club AS Monaco from Portuguese club Sporting
Braga.
According to Abola, the left-back’s
contract with the Portuguese club, was due to run out at the end of the season
and the 25-year-old has decided to return to France, where he started out with
Stade Rennes in 2007.
The Nigerian international has made
108 appearances for Braga, scoring eight goals during his four-year stint with
the club. Echiejile is set for his second World Cup with Nigeria in June after
he established himself in his country’s first-team last year by winning the
2013 Africa Cup of Nations and qualifying for Brazil 2014.
Very wealthy Monaco currently have the likes of Colombia superstar Radamel Falcao and ex-Barcelona star Eric Abidal on their roaster, the French side is currently second on the French Ligue 1 table with 42 points from 20 matches, five points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
