Andre Ayew undergoes successful knee surgery plus he will be out of play for 2 months


According to Olympique Marseille, Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew who also plays for the French side has undergone a successful operation on a torn meniscus in his knee, his side. 
Ayew suffered the injury playing for Ghana in the World Cup play-offs against Egypt last week when he twisted his knee.
He came off in the 2-1 defeat in Cairo, which nonetheless saw Ghana qualify 7-3 on aggregate.

The surgery was supervised by Dr Jean-Pierre Franceschi in Marseille the player will be discharged from the hospital today (Tuesday)

According to Marseille, influential 23-year whose brother Jordan also plays for the French Ligue 1 giants, would need two months recovery time as they gear up to face Arsenal at the Emirates in the UEFA Champions League.
