Super Eagles of Nigeria move up 22 spot in FIFA'S World ranking!

The Super Eagles of Nigeria moved to the 30th position in this month’s FIFA World ranking following their victorious AFCON performance. Nigeria rose 22 spots up after their 1-0 win over Burkina Faso last Sunday in Jo-Burg.

Despite their early elimination from the Nations Cup, Cote d’Ivore still maintain their position as highest ranked African team, the Elephants moved up two places, they are 12th overall in the ranking.
The Burkinabe are doing pretty well for themselves as well as they also moved to the 55th position in the World ranking.

While we celebrate with the Super Eagles, the Black Stars of Ghana are still in ahead of Nigeria in FIFA’S World ranking. Even with their 4th place finish at the just concluded Nations Cup, the Black Stars are 19th in the world, moving 7 spots ahead this time.

Host nation, South Africa are in a better position now as they moved 25 places to 60th position following their promising performance at 29th edition of the Nations Cup. Their dream of holding the cup ended at the quarter-final stage, after losing to Mali.
