Emmanuel Emenike ruled out of AFCON finals due to an injury.


Emmanuel Emenike was on Friday ruled out of Sunday’s final in the ongoing Nations Cup due to a muscle tear. 
According to MTNFootball, the Spartak Moscow striker, who is also one of the top scorers at this year’s Nations Cup will miss the tournament final against Burkina Faso after a scan showed that he suffered a thigh muscle tear of the right leg.

The 25-year-old striker has missed training over the past two days and both he and team officials have worked overtime to assure he will be fit for Sunday; however, Emenike will have to sit out of one of the most crucial match in the competition due to the injury.

Villarreal striker Ikechukwu Uche and Russian-based forward Ahmed Musa could be the likely replacement for the for the ailing striker, Ideye Brown who is slowly but surely coming to life at the Nations Cup could also be called upon on Sunday for the Super Eagles.
