Results from today's AFCON fixtures-Ghana 2- 2 Congo DR

Ghana’s Emmanuel Agyemang Badu had the very first goal of the tournament in their game against Congo DR from group B of the Nations Cup and later, and Asamoah doubled the lead for Ghana making it a 2-0 game, however, Congo DR’s Tresor Mputu was quick to reply with a header. And Congo DR denied Ghana victory when Dieumerci Mbokani scored a penalty after being dragged down by his shirt.
With rumors of team coach Claude LeRoy resigning over a row about unpaid bonuses; this was a well-deserved point for Congo DR as there performance definitely showed their strength.
Speaking after the game, team coach Le Roy said his side will not look back from the brave performance against the Black Stars of Ghana but forge ahead with the same commitment and fighting spirit.
"We deserved this result after all the problems we had and I hope that it will get the whole country behind the team now." Bbc sports.
