Manchester City fan faces lifetime ban after pitch invasion.

21-year-old Manchester City fan Mathew Stott who tried to confront Rio Ferdinand faces a lifetime ban from the club even after apologizing for his actions. City spokesperson confirmed that they have since removed his season ticket and if found guilty in court of a charge of pitch encroachment, he will face a lifetime ban.
The incident occurred at the Etihad Stadium during the match between Manchester City and Manchester United. Following Robin Van Persie’s late goal that led to Manchester United’s 3-2 victory over Manchester City, Ferdinand was hit by a coin which gave him a cut above his eye with blood pouring from the cut, the United defender still had to deal with Stott coming onto the field towards him. City goalkeeper Joe Hart had to restrain Stott; he was then arrested and subsequently charged by the police.
