Nigerian international and West Brom striker Peter
Odemwingie’s wonderful header in the second half gave West Brom a 2-1 victory
over Chelsea in their game over the weekend. Odemwingie’s goal came from a
terrific cross from Shane Long who was playing even after hearing his
grandmother had died on Friday night and who flew back home straight after the
final whistle.
After a beautiful performance which ended with a 2-1 defeat
over current European champions Chelsea, match-winner Odemwingie believes this
win proves West Brom are serious about the championship- “It was the best three
points because we've taken away all the doubts. It definitely gives us great
belief. Our results have already given us ¬confidence and the belief is
growing.” Odemwingie.
