Ghana FA has given Olympic Marseille midfielder, Andre Dede Ayew one-week ultimatum to apologize to his Black Stars teammates and the technical team or will face sanctions.
Ayew angrily
shook his head as he came off the pitch in Lilongwe and then refused to shake
hands with his playing mates after he was substituted in Ghana's 1-0 win over
Malawi in the final 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday. He demanded to know from the technical team why he was substituted when he was not
tired. Not stopping there, he also uttered unpleasant words to express displeasure
with his substitution on the bench.
Speaking on
the issue, President of the Ghana FA, Kwesi Nyantakyi told Accra-based Happy
FM."We met and have decided to give him one week to apologize so we are
waiting for that and if he fails to do so, then we will take the necessary
actions"
