Flamingoes knocked out of FIFA's U-17 Women's World Cup
The results from the FIFA U-17 Women World Cup quarter-finals between Nigeria and France may have brought back bad memories for the Flamingoes of Nigeria as it seems history just repeated itself. Two years ago in Trinidad and Tobago, the girls took a bow at the same level (quarter-finals) competition and although the circumstance may have been different then and now, it is still devastating for the girls considering the amount of victories they encountered to this point. "we made too many defensive mistakes in 2010 and we avoided those errors this time, but still we got knocked out" said coach Dedevbo.
In the end. congratulations may not be in order, but we wish the girls better luck next time and I must say good job as their performance in the tournament was outstanding.
