Steven Keshi demands more commitment from the players.

Nigerian Super Eagles received a dressing from coach Stephen Keshi after their 2-2 draw with Liberia in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Keshi told BBC Sport-" Sometimes I feel the right mental attitude and hunger is lacking in our game and won't condone that . The body language must change and must correlate with our game plans." Keshi continued, " I would prefer players to stay away and say they cannot make it-than for them to come and show Nigerians that we are not serious. Any player who cannot make it in time should stay away because we need all the time we can get to blend for our games."
In his selection for the team, Keshi omitted Peter Odemwinge, Taye Taiwo, Mikel Obi, John Utaka and Dickson Etuhu.
The second leg of the qualifier will be held in Calabar, Nigeria, the Super Eagles will take on Liberia for the second time on the weekend of 12-14 October. Emerging winners will qualify for the 2013 Nations Cup.
