After losing to the Lionesses of Cameroon, and although this
has resulted in the super Falcons forfeiting their chance to play at the
Olympic football tournament, in the upcoming African Women's Championship
tournament which starts from October 28, 2012 in Malabo, the Super Falcons will
get a second chance to face the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in their
first game from Group B. The Nigeria Falcons have won the AWC tournament 6
times with one loss to Equatorial Guinea, who clinched the title on home soil
in 2008. The 2012 AWC will begin with Equatorial Guinea taking on South Africa,
and then Senegal will go against DR Congo.
Wishing the girls (Falcons) all the best!
