WORLD CUP 2014: African sides so far.......................

The
Super Eagles of Nigeria recorded their first World Cup win since 1998
against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday in their Group F, Super
Eagle's returnee Osaze Odemwingie secured the 1-0 victory for Nigeria
and the Stoke City striker dedicated the goal to his new born son via
twitter.
Keshi's
men are only 2 points behind Group leaders Argentina and they will
take on South American team in their very last match on June 25 @ 12 P.M
Eastern time.
To
advance to the next stage in the WC is still tentative and depends on a win or draw from Nigeria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ghana
played out a 2-2 draw against Germany in group G, Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan and Jordan Ayew scored in the 63rd and 54th
respectively for Ghana. They indeed gave Germany a run for their
money as Germany opened the score line barely 6 minutes into the
first half and they doubled their score 71 minutes into the game.
Ghana
will take on Portugal on Thursday June 26 at 12 PM Eastern both teams
are tied with 1 point apiece.
Algeria
played a very impressive game against South Korea in Group H of the
World Cup where they currently are favored to advance into the second
round as they occupy the second spot in the group.
Algeria
won 4-2 against South Korea on Sunday, recording their very first
World Cup win since 1982.
With
Cameroon on their way out of the World Cup; they are yet to record a win at the
2014 World Cup, the Indomitable Lions will play their very last game against host nation
Brazil later today, they are at the bottom of their Group A.
Ivory
Coast will play against Greece on June 24 in order to solidify their
advancement to the second round in the World Cup. The Elephants are
currently second in their Group C with 3 points behind group leaders
Colombia.
