Famous sports couples-African edition.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day-we are just celebrating our very own, so, here’s a look at some of
Africa’s most beautiful couples who are in one way or the other involved in sports, well, mainly football, :)
The list is somewhat random, so, here they are, some of the most
famous and might I add, beautiful sports couples in Africa:
10. Chioma Ajunwa: golden girl Chioma Ajunwa-Okpara who gave
Nigeria her first Olympic gold medal and currently serves as Chief
Superintendent of Police has been married to her husband who is a Pastor at a church
is Lagos for about 9 years. Chioma has been blessed with a lot of firsts and
last year, she became the Nigerian female athlete to give birth to a set of
triplet. Chioma and husband are proud parents of two boys and a girl, wishing
the happy couple all the best.
9.Austin Okocha: Former Super Eagles Captain, Austin Okocha
and his beautiful wife Nkechi have been married for over ten years and together
they have two children, Daniella and A-Jay. Although various websites and blogs
had alleged that the duo were likely to split, Okocha debunked the rumors stating
that their marriage was still going on strong. No time for haters, all the best to the awesome couple.
8.Kalu Uche: Super Eagles midfieldder Kalu Uche and Stephanie
(former MBGN and Miss Universe '08 rep) got married in June, 2011 and the couple welcomed
their first child just barely 4 months after the wedding.
7. Kolo Toure: Manchester City defender Kolo Toure and wife
Chimene Akassou got married in June 2012 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Kolo and
Chimene were together for over 10 years before finally making it official in 2012, together, they have two children from their relationship, Sania (daughter) and Yiassin
(son).
6.Kanu Nwankwo: Former Super Eagles striker Kanu Nwankwo and
wife Amarachi have been together since 2004, the couple met when Amarachi was only
18-years-old. The lovely couple welcomed
their 3rd child last year; the bundle of joy was named after her
mother, now that’s amore!
5.Peter Odewingie: Nigerian international and West Brom’s prodigal
player Peter Odewingie and his beautiful wife Sarah got hitched at Castle Ashby
in Nottingham in May, 2012. Sarah and Peter welcomed their first child Noah
just last month, very beautiful.
4.Fabrice Muamba: retired footballer who played for Arsenal, Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers Fabrice Muamba and wife Shuana Magunda got married Just 7 months after th24-year-old player practically ‘died’ on football field. It was indeed a happy ending as the DR Congo international tied the knot with his longtime fiancée Shuana Magunda in a very emotional ceremony.
3.Joseph Yobo: Super
Eagles Skipper and former Everton defender Joseph Yobo and former Nigerian
beauty queen Adaeze Igwe tied
the knot at the tail end of 2010; technically, they got married in January,
2011. The Couple welcomed their first child in the same year.
2.Didier Droba: Ivorian international and former Chelsea star
Didier Droba and wife Diakite Lalla Drogba met in France about 15 years ago.
Diakite who is originally from Mali comes from a sporty family, her father once
played for the Malian national team. Didier and Diakite welcomed their first
child Isaac in 1999, and later the couple welcomed two more children, their
youngest Kieran was born in 2010. The Couple officially tied the knot in
June of 2011 at the Marie de Monaco in Monaco, the beautiful ceremony was
officiated by Roman Abramovich (Chelsea’s owner) with team-mates Salomon Kalou
and Florent Malouda among the groom’s men.
