Ghana Shortlisted Among Four Countries To host AFCON 2017

Other Resolutions of the Executive Committee Meeting of 11-11-2015
Africa's football governing body CAF has announced the four countries that meets the criteria as host for the 2017 Nations Cup. Out of the seven nations originally selected to replace Libya as host; Algeria, Ghana, Egypt and Gabon have been selected to be in the running. CAF left out Kenya, Zimbabwe and Sudan due to “complaint with the set criteria to be considered.”
Libya decided in August that they were unable to host to tournament mainly because of various insecurities in the country.
CAF is yet to set a date to take the vote to determine the new host country.
