Nigerian
will face already qualified Argentina today, Wednesday in Porto
Alegre in Group F of the World Cup in Brazil.
This
is the first time both sides are meeting since 1998.
The
Super Eagles of Nigeria will be hoping for at least a draw today to
secure the runners-up spot in the Group. Peter Odemwingie helped
Nigeria record their first World Cup win in 16 years in their game
against Bosnia on Saturday.
Argentina
are currently atop the group with 6 secure points after beating Iran
and Bosnia, however, a defeat to Argentina could still put the
African champions ahead in the World Cup provided Iran loses to
Bosnia. However, if Iran should win over Bosnia with by at least 1-0
and Nigeria lose by the same score,, FIFA may have to carry out
drawing of lots leaving the sides inseparable on points, goal
difference and number of goals head-to-head as the winners.
Goodluck
guys!
