Chelsea FC Manager Jose Mourinho in one of his sessions as Yahoo's global
football ambassador answered questions regarding the Super Eagles of
Nigeria in the World Cup.
Mourinho revealed the teams he thinks
will make it out of the group stages in the World Cup. Nigeria and
Ivory Coast were selected as the Blues manager's choice, he also
revealed that his choice of African teams is in part due to the
personal ties with two of the players in each team; former Chelsea
striker Didier Drogba will be representing Ivory Coast, while Blues
midfielder John Mikel Obi headlines Keshi's 23-man squad.
Speaking
of his choice Mourinho said-“I'm very emotional, I go always with
my friends”
Nigeria
will face Iran on June 14, and there after Bosnia, Iran, and finally
Argentina in their Group F in the World Cup, while Ivory coast will
battle it out in a less threatening Group C where they will face
Greece, Colombia, and Japan.
Mourinho
suggested Argentina will top the group however feels Nigeria is
capable of joining them into the knockout stages, adding he said-
“Argentina has to be the group winner and what makes me decide for
Nigeria is the fact that I have one player there”
