Osaze Odemwingie seals £2.5million move to Cardiff from West Brom

Cardiff City to the rescue! Controversial West Brom striker Osaze Odemwingie finally completes transfer to Cardiff City. Cardiff City signed the Nigerian international for a reported £2.5m,  Odemwingie was in Cardiff on Monday undergoing a medical and has now put pen to paper on a three-year contract.
Unlike like what happened in January with QPR, Odemwingie's agent Rob Segal arrived in Cardiff to discuss personal teams as the player secured a transfer on deadline day

Although it seemed as if they striker’s career was going down, other teams showed some interest in the player. Cardiff boss Mark Hughes secured the striker's signature from the hands of a host of competitors. Cardiff beat Swansea City and Stoke City to the 32-year-old's signature, with Michael Laudrup instead opting to bring in Alvaro Vazquez on loan from Getafe.
The Nigerian becomes Mackay's eighth summer signing following the captures of Gary Medel, Steven Caulker, Andrea Cornelius, John Brayford, Simon Moore, Kevin Theophile-Catherine and Uruguay youngster Maximiliano Amondarain.

Although his now former side was quick to tag him an “outcast” during his time there, Odemwingie played front or out wide and boasts a superb record of one goal in every three matches for West Brom.
