The 26-year-old only signed a new five-year contract with the Blues in December, but is thought to be ready to end his seven-year relationship with the club if the money offered by Galatasaray is right, according to Nigerian newspaper The Nation. To complete Mikel’s move over to Galatasaray, they will have to buy out the remainder of his contract.
Mikel will replace Brazil star Fillipe Melo, who is on his way out to either Brazil or Italy.
